Easy to Install with No Tools

Step 1

Turn the filter to the left and pull. Discard the old filter. Cap will be inside the filter opening. Turn it counterclockwise and pullout.

Step 2

When inserting the new filter, line it up with the grooves, push in and turn to the right.

Step 3

Push upon the filter to lock in place. Reset the filter indicator light on your fridge.

An unopened GF-8001 filter can be stored for 2–3 years if the seal remains intact and it is kept in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. Once installed, it should be replaced every 6 months or 300 gallons, whichever comes first.

The GF-8001 is designed as a compatible replacement for Whirlpool Filter 4, EDR4RXD1, WHR4RXD1, UKF8001, and 4396395 filters. It is not sourced by or sponsored by Maytag, Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore, Puriclean, or Viking. For warranty concerns, check the refrigerator manufacturer’s warranty terms.

The GF-8001 uses BPA-free, food-grade coconut shell activated carbon block material. It is tested and certified by NSF/ANSI, IAPMO, and ISO, and is designed to reduce harmful substances while retaining beneficial minerals.

After installing the GF-8001 filter, reset the filter indicator according to the refrigerator’s control panel instructions. The reset method depends on the refrigerator model, so check the refrigerator manual for the exact button or setting.

If the filter has already been installed for 6 months or has filtered about 300 gallons, it should be replaced before continued use. If the refrigerator has not been used for a long time, flush the new filter after installation before drinking the water.

For most compatible refrigerators, the filter can be replaced directly by following the refrigerator’s filter replacement instructions. If water leakage occurs or the refrigerator manual requires it, turn off the water supply before replacing the filter.

Glacier Fresh refrigerator filters are worth the money. Others charge a lot for only ONE filter. Glacier has the best rates. The filters are easy to install. They do a great job of filtering the water. If you’re not sure which filter you need for your refrigerator, Glacier has many to choose from, but you enter your model number from refrigerator door and it pops up to what you need. Fast delivery too.

The filters were far cheaper than the ones that I were going to buy the only complaint was that the post office lost the delivery halfway through and it was delivered a week late but that was in no way the company's fault post office for the win as usual

I was hesitant to purchase this being the low price felt too good to be true. I was pleasantly surprised (and so grateful) that the filter fits perfectly, has no leaks, the flow is quick, and the water tastes better than the original brand.
