Products

Replacement fridge water filters are available for most models and brands. Whirlpool and GE are all covered. To check your model number, you can either search it on our website or contact our customer service team.

For clean, fresh tasting water, we recommend replacing your water filter every 6 months or 200 gallons of water, whichever comes first.

First, please open the filter compartment to be sure the o-ring is properly seated in the groove. If the o-ring is in place and the filter continues to leak, apply a small amount of vegetable oil directly to the o-ring to help create a seal.

We recommend that you drain 1-2 gallons of water after replacing the filter with a new one.

The funny taste is most likely the result of compressed air bubbles in the filter which are released into the water when the filter is first installed. We recommend discarding the first gallon of water after installing a new filter. Subsequent gallons should be free of air bubbles.

All of the filters will hit a stop point once they are tightly installed. As long as you install the filter by hand (without using any tools), you should feel the filter reach the stop point when it is properly installed. Most of the filters reach the stop point after only a quarter or a half turn. However, the GE MWF unit requires a firmer turn to properly seal the o-ring, so do not hesitate to turn the filter a little harder.

Every manufacturer has slightly different procedures for resetting the indicator light. You will see instructions for several of the most popular brands below, but please visit the product page of the particular filter for specific instructions if you do not see your brand listed here:

Amana - push the Auto Light and Dispenser Lock buttons on the dispenser (simultaneously) and hold for 4 seconds until you see the filter status indicator light begin to flash. Once it flashes, release the buttons. Some Amana refrigerator models may require you to push and hold the Water and Dispenser Lock buttons for 4 seconds until you see the filter status indicator light begin to flash. Then, release the buttons. Electrolux and Frigidaire - push the reset button on the water dispenser and hold until you see the green light flash (this can take up to 15 seconds). GE and Hotpoint - press the Reset Water Filter button on the dispenser and hold for 3 seconds. Jenn-Air and Maytag - push the Lock and Light buttons on the dispenser (or Lock and Water on newer models) and hold for 4 seconds until you see the indicator light blink. KitchenAid and Whirlpool- push and release the light switch a total of 5 times within 10 seconds. If you see a Filter button on the refrigerator, push and hold this button for 5-10 seconds. LG - push the Reset button and hold it for 3 seconds. Samsung - push the Child Lock and Ice Type buttons at the same time and hold for 3 seconds. (Do not hold the buttons longer than 3 seconds. If the two buttons are held simultaneously for 5 seconds, the reset function will stop. In this case, let go of the buttons and repeat the procedure once more. The water filter indicator light will change to green.)

Water filters do not have an expiration date. Feel free to store multiple replacement filters in your home for cost savings and easy replacement.

You can request to cancel your order within a short time period after placing your order. To cancel your order, sign in to your account, find the order in your purchases, click "Details" and then click "Cancel Order" to start the request process. If the "Cancel Order" button is disabled, the window to cancel has passed and your order is not eligible for cancellation. We're unable to cancel an order beyond this time period.

Your payment method will not be charged if we are able to cancel your order. If we're unable to cancel your order, your payment method will be charged and your items will be shipped to you. We always have free returns by mail and in store.

Sign up for a Glacier Fresh account and then search for your filter. Select Subscribe to Save in the purchasing options and how often you would like your filters shipped to you. You can adjust the quantity of filters by adding again to the cart or adjusting the quantity within the cart page. Experience convenience and repeat savings each time you receive your replacement water filter in the mail.

Shipping & Delivery

We typically ship 2 - 3 business days after we receive your order. Depending on where you live in the United States, you can expect to have your order delivered to you in 7 - 10 business days after your order has shipped.

We recommend that you contact us immediately if you would like to change your delivery address. Once it has been shipped, we are unable to change it. Please contact customer service within 24 hours via Live Chat or email to support@glacierfreshfilter.com immediately.

Go to your Account page and click on the order you're interested in tracking. You'll find the order number next to each of the items that has shipped. Once we ship your order, we'll also send you an email with your tracking information so you'll have it on hand.

Yes, we ship from the continental US. All our products are free shipping, Excludes Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico. And our product prices include commodity commodity tax and shipping tax.

Return & Refund

Product(s) may be returned within 30 days from the date of shipment. Product(s) must be in unused condition and in original packaging material. Customers will be responsible for return shipping & 20% restocking fee.

We do not offer exchanges, please email us at support@glacierfreshfilter.com, and make sure to include the order number and product image. Customers will be responsible for returns shipping & 20% restocking fee. 

If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase. We will cancel your order free of charge. Cancellation of an order may take up to 3 days. Thanks for your patience.

We cannot cancel your order for you after the package has been dispatched. You can contact customer service to return it for you after signing for it. You pay the 20% restocking fee and bear the return cost.

All of our products go through quality inspection before being shipped out. If you receive a damaged product, it is most likely caused during shipping. Please email support@glacierfreshfilter.com with your order number and a picture of the damaged product. After our verification, we will resend you a new water filter for replacement.
