Line up the ports on the filter with the ports on the filter cartridge holder, and gently insert the filter.

Slowly turn the filter to the right until it stops. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

It's a simple twist-and-lock process — no tools required:

1.Locate the filter in the upper right corner inside your fridge.
2.Push in and turn counterclockwise to remove the old filter.
3.Insert the new GlacierFresh filter and turn clockwise until it locks.
4.Run 2–3 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush the system.
5.Reset the filter indicator light (hold the reset button for 3 seconds on most models).

Yes — when NSF certified. The GlacierFresh GFXWFE™ uses advanced carbon block technology that meets the same NSF performance standards as the OEM GE XWFE filter, at a significantly lower cost per filter. The key difference is price, not performance.

This is completely normal for the first use. The carbon block filter needs to be flushed before drinking. Run 2–3 gallons (about 10–15 cups) through the dispenser and discard that water. After flushing, your water should taste clean and fresh. If the taste persists beyond that, contact our support team.

Each filter lasts up to 6 months or 300 gallons, whichever comes first. For a family of 4 using the water dispenser daily, 6 months is typical. If you have heavy usage or poor source water quality, you may need to replace it sooner — reduced flow or a change in taste are the clearest signs.

Well I did get one to work, but now my fridge dispenses water faster than the original filter, so I’m questioning whether your filter is even filtering my water. There’s no way for me to know if this filter is filtering my water or if you just got the right sticker on it to make my fridge dispense water. I’m just not confident in your product and I would like my money refunded. Please honor good business practice and refund my money.

The Glacier Fresh water filter works fine so far in my refrigerator , however I am waiting to see if I get the same life span on this filter as the original GE filter. I am however VERY DISSAPOINTED in the time it took for the filter to be delivered once the order was placed. There are many other sites that could of delivered the filter in a much shorter time period with only a slightly higher cost than ordering directly from Glacier Fresh
