How difficult is it to install this under sink water filter without drilling through the countertop?

This Glacier Fresh GF-S003 under sink water filter connects directly to the cold water line under the sink, so a separate countertop faucet hole is not required when connecting to an existing compatible faucet line. It is suitable for 1/2" or 3/8" NPT thread connections and includes the needed hoses, connector, Teflon tape, screws, and converter set.
