FAQ

What is the difference between Frigidaire PureAir AF1 and the newer AF2 activated carbon air filter?

Glacier Fresh GF-A007 is listed for Frigidaire PureAir AF1 filtration systems and compatible refrigerator models such as FGHT2055VD, FGHT2055VF, and FPHT2097VF. Its size is 3.8" x 1.8" x 0.4". Check the refrigerator’s original air filter model and filter size before ordering.

Will the refrigerator air filter affect normal refrigerator operation during use?

No. This air filter is designed for Frigidaire refrigerators with PureAir AF1 filtration systems and works inside the air filter compartment to help reduce unwanted refrigerator odors.

How often should the Frigidaire refrigerator air filter be replaced?

Replace the air filter every 3 to 6 months. It can last up to 6 months depending on refrigerator use and odor conditions.

What food odors can this refrigerator air filter help reduce?

The activated carbon filtration helps absorb unwanted refrigerator odors, including unpleasant food smells and smoke-related odors inside the fridge.

Can this air filter absorb ethylene gas to extend the freshness of fruits and vegetables?

This filter is designed to capture and keep odors away with activated carbon technology. Ethylene gas reduction is not listed for this filter.

What happens if the refrigerator air filter is not replaced?

An old air filter may become less effective at absorbing unwanted refrigerator odors. Replace it every 3 to 6 months to help keep the refrigerator smelling fresh.

Where is this refrigerator air filter usually installed?

Install it in the refrigerator’s PureAir AF1 air filter compartment on compatible Frigidaire models. Make sure the filter fits securely in place.

Does this refrigerator air filter need a separate reset button?

This air filter does not require a reset button on the filter itself. If the refrigerator has an air filter reminder, reset it from the refrigerator control panel after replacement.
